THANK YOU ISLE of WIGHT

THANK YOU ISLE of WIGHT

Thanks to everyone we met at Isle of Wight festival for making it such an enjoyable experience and a huge thank you to the crowd for such a great response.

Great to catch up with Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, looking forward immensely to opening for them in July at St Helens and Doncaster stadiums.

ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL

Isle of Wight County Press

And the prize for most anticipated and standout singalong of the Isle of Wight Festival 2022 goes to…The Proclaimers and their enduringly popular I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).

It was the moment young and old were here for.

Everyone, from 13 to 70, cheerfully joined in with Charlie and Craig Reid’s hit on Saturday afternoon.

Thankfully, it was also still sunny when they sang Sunshine on Leith (shout-out to the camera operator who spotted a man in the crowd sporting a dingbats-style black t-shirt, emblazoned with a sun and the word Leith, in time for a crowd shot during the song).

I’m On My Way proved to be another popular addition to their Main Stage set.

The Proclaimers have been to the Isle of Wight Festival before, but it’s been more than a decade since they last crossed the Solent to perform here.

Let’s hope they don’t leave it so long to come back, next time!.
