All Together Now by The Peace Collective video launched

On the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Day Truce, during WW1, which inspired The Farm’s 1990 hit All Together Now, The Peace Collective has been formed to re-record the song.  All profits from the release, will go to the British Red Cross and the Shorncliffe Trust. The Red Cross deployed more than 90,000 personnel to help the wounded and injured during WW1.

Some of the singers and musicians who have joined the collective of an “alternative Band Aid” include The Proclaimers, Suggs from Madness, Engelbert Humperdinck, Julian Lennon, Gorgon City, Clean Bandit, Mick Jones from the Clash,  Leo Sayer, Suzi Quatro, David Gray, Gabrielle, Amelle Berrabah from The Sugababes, previous X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and Amy Winehouse’s goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield, as well as the song’s original performers, The Farm. Also featured are a backing choir of schoolboy footballers from the Premier League and German Bundesliga

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival Headline appearance announced for 6th August 2015

The Proclaimers are announced as the headliners for Thursday 6th August 2015 at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (6th-8th August 2015; Beauly, Inverness-shire). The first time the festival has featured a main stage headliner on its enhanced opening night. Craig and Charlie and band  will be making a return to the festival exactly 10 years after they last headlined.

Next summer will see The Proclaimers embark upon another tour around the World and the Belladrum appearance is their first confirmed appearance of 2015.

Craig and Charlie commented “We are absolutely delighted to be heading back to Belladrum after 10 years since we first played there in 2005. It has been fantastic to see the festival grow from strength to strength and we look forward immensely to returning and playing the Garden Stage next August.”

Festival promoter Joe Gibbs said “I can’t think of a more appropriate act to launch our first year of offering an extra main stage headliner at Bella, The Proclaimers gave the event the support it needed from a major Scottish act in its difficult second year. Who better, now to launch our new third night on the main stage.”

Dave Eringa To Produce 10th Studio Album

The Proclaimers ended their last 2 year World tour in October 2013 in spectacular fashion when for their final gig they became the first Scottish based band to perform at the newly opened Hydro Arena in Glasgow.

Since then Craig and Charlie have focused exclusively on writing a new album and with that creative process now finally completed, they head to the studio later this month in cahoots with the band, Stevie Christie, Garry John Kane, Zac Ware and Clive Jenner to record their 10th studio album.

Craig and Charlie are thrilled to have producer Dave Eringa at the helm. Dave has a wealth of great productions behind him including many albums with Manic Street Preachers and Idlewild. This year he has enjoyed a UK Gold album producing Wilko Johnson & Roger Daltrey’s ‘Going Back Home’. Dave produced and mixed the new single from The Who, ‘Be Lucky’ and has just produced a Roger Daltrey solo album.
