Proclaimers To Play Beach Party
The Proclaimers will be playing their first ever beach party at Lusty Glaze, Newquay on Friday 19th July, one of Cornwall’s hidden gems, a horseshow cove surrounded by 135 foot cliffs.

Tonight UK viewers can catch a recording of The Proclaimers live at the Hebridean Celtic Festival 2012 on the Isle of Lewis at 9.00pm on BBC TV Alba and then iPlayer for following seven days.
Mon 31st Dec
BBC 1 Scotland Hogmanay Live at 11.30pm, with an outside broadcast unit at Stirling Castle expect to see The Proclaimers captured live before and after the bells. Again this will be on the iPlayer for the following week.

The Proclaimers will be doing a small run of acoustic shows to coincide with the US release of the ‘Like Comedy’ album. They then regroup with their live band in June for a string of UK and European festivals and events over the summer.
Craig and Charlie said “We very much look forward to touring USA again and doing acoustic versions of some of the old and new songs and to seeing older and newer fans at the shows.”

John Byrne Award, Ireland AM TV interview and Trowbridge, UK July festival announced
Many congratualtions to all involved with The John Byrne Award, which presents sixth-year Edinburgh pupils with a unique challenge. The competition encourages students to think about the values that are most important to them.
It then challenges these young adults to express those values through a painting, a poem, a play – or any other creative output of their choosing. This years source of inspiration was the song ‘Letter From America’ www.johnbyrneaward.org.uk
