THE PROCLAIMERS – GLASGOW : THE HYDRO – Saturday 12th October with Special Guests Glasvegas and Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire.
The Proclaimers are the first Scottish based act to announce a show at The Hydro in Glasgow. Craig and Charlie said “We are very honoured to be asked to play in the first month of The Hydro’s opening and are looking forward to it immensely. Its fantastic to have Glasvegas along with Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire also performing to make it a really special evening.”
With The Proclaimers having a busy spring/summer tour lined up this show ends the year in grand style as their only full concert appearance in Scotland this year and their last gig until they start their next world tour in 2015.
The Hydro is Scotland’s new home of entertainment. Designed by world-renowned architects Foster and Partners, The Hydro will be the first purpose built concert venue of its scale especially designed for concerts.
Modelled on Greek and Roman amphitheatres, the 45m tall arena is designed from the inside out, visitors will enjoy excellent sightlines and with its iconic architecture The Hydro offers an intimate artists and audience experience with acoustics second to none.
The Hydro includes 5 food outlets, 9 bars and 2 multi purpose lounges and will be open on the night from 6pm with the show starting at 7pm.
