A very Happy New Year. A huge thank you to everyone who made it along to a performance in the UK in 2015. Craig and Charlie along with the band, Stevie Christie, Garry John Kane, Zac Ware and Clive Jenner did 67 shows between late May and December, 13 festivals and 54 of their own headline concerts, playing to over 250,000 people.
Plans for 2016 have already seen the Australian and New Zealand dates announced and we will shortly confirm a few weeks in May/June of more regional shows in England. We are also planning dates in USA, Canada and Europe.
Ents 24, the UK’s biggest live guide, have totted up the figures to show the UK’s most successful acts of 2015, with The Proclaimers showing 6th in live music.
Craig and Charlie are very sad to hear of the passing of Ian Bell. Ian was the finest journalist in the UK. His breadth of knowledge was astounding and his understanding of Scotland’s cultural and political changes over the last 30 years was unsurpassed.
His analysis was razor sharp and his eloquence was beautiful and uplifting. It is insufficient to say that he will be missed. Scotland is genuinely diminished by his death.
