Raising funds for Clarrie Mendy & MND Research

All the very best to Gordon Barclay on the final stretch of his 500 mile cycle ride from Portobello Edinburgh to Portobello Market in London. The trip is raising money for Clarrie Mendy who suffered terrible loss when Grenfell Tower Fire happened. Her bravery and kindness has been an inspiration to many. She has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

Sir Alex Ferguson Gala Dinner

Sir Alex Ferguson Gala Dinner

The Proclaimers performed in Manchester last Friday evening at the special invitation of Sir Alex Ferguson, at a Gala Dinner fund raiser for The Elizabeth Hardie Ferguson Charitable Trust and the NHS.

Craig and Charlie commented,  “It was a privilege to play at the event. We really enjoyed the evening and Sir Alex was an absolute gentleman and an honour to meet with”

Today is 25 years since the UK release of The Proclaimers third album ‘Hit The Highway’.

Today is 25 years since the UK release of The Proclaimers third album ‘Hit The Highway’.

Here is fantastic live recording of the title track with the house band of NTL Nachtshow, recorded in Cologne in 1994.

Also, here are links to three videos from the album.

Two directed by the wonderful Lindy Heyman, ‘Let’s Get Married’ shot in the Mojave Desert and Las Vegas and ‘What Makes You Cry’ filmed in Paris. Also the haunting video by David Betteridge for Craig and Charlie’s cover of Otis Redding’s ‘These Arms Of Mine’.
